I planted a bunch of stuff in the same plot and these grew up and crowded everything else out they were so healthy. I had heard that broccoli was hard to grow so I was surprised that I didn't have to do anything for these to grow so big. The only thing was they had a lot of cabbage worms. I'm not sure if this is normal since I've never grown broccoli before, but the worms really grossed me out, even though they didn't seem to hurt the plants.  -  Saturday, August 16, 2008 Happy in Seattle Reviewed By: Brian Steadman (Des Moines, Wa) I planted 6 seeds of Broccoli in april. All came up. After cutting the main heads in june and july, I'm still enjoying side shoots in August. This was the first time, I planted broccoli, and it was amazing, after cutting the heads more grew, it supplied us the entire season and did not stop growing until I pulled the plant.
