We tried this for the first time this summer and will be ordering it every summer to come. The taste and sweetness of the corn are perfect. Gotta Have It.  -  Monday, September 28, 2009 two crops per season Reviewed By: Murray McIntyre (Burns Flat, Oklahoma) This was my second year to plant Gotta Have it. Planting into cool April soil does not promote good germination so I use a bean plate in my planter which puts seeds about 3" apart. Then I hoe out extra plants if there are any to maintain a 6-8" plant spacing. Replanted second crop after taking off first crop in early July. Harvested second crop mid September with yields and quality as good as the first. Everyone comments on the great flavor and sweetness of this variety. Can also be frozen on the cobb and put into zip lock bags with excellent results, although our preferred method is to slice the corn off the cobb, blanche and freeze into meal sized zip bags with air removed as much as possible.  -  Monday, September 21, 2009 Second Review Reviewed By: Scott (Glenmora, Louisiana) This is my second year to grow Gotta Have It Sweet Corn and wanted to give a second review. The late cool snaps that extented into May really caused problems getting the corn up. Warm ground is a must and pre germination with a wet paper towel or soaking really makes all the difference. I had trouble big time with mole crickets, followed by terrible heat and drought which diminished my harvest somewhat. I worked for this corn this year......but, it was all worth it for the taste is just unbeatable!! I shared a little with a Aunt and Uncle that know corn and they would say.... I hate to keep asking... but you got any more of that corn you can spare. Best they have ever had in their life. So, in closing, it's a little more trouble than your average corn, but this corn is not average when it comes to taste. I can't wait for spring 2010 for I'm out of (Gotta Have It) and can't wait to get it again, no matter the trouble. I can't get enough of this corn, and will no doubt eventually, master..... growing this excellent variety.  -  Wednesday, September 09, 2009 Best corn I ever had Reviewed By: Randall (Abbeville, Louisiana ) This was the first year that I have grown Gotta Have It Hybrid Corn and it is the sweetest corn I have ever ate. It also freezes well. I hope this corn is avalible next year because I will sure plant it again. Thanks Gurneys.
