Requires very little maintenance. - Monday, April 23, 2007Beautiful and Fragrant Reviewed By: Paulette Brooks (Clintonville, WI) This is a beautiful little accent tree, with lovely perfumed flowers in late spring. I prune mine to grow as a small tree in front of my porch. It has nice, low-hanging branches for birdhouses/feeders, etc., and provides shade for my porch and hostas. It grows extremely fast, so you can have a pretty little shade tree in just a few years. I love my Russian Olive! - Tuesday, May 29, 2007Perfect Reviewed By: Master Gardener Grad (Flagstaff, az) This tree can survive where most of the trees will die. I love these trees. - Tuesday, January 15, 2008Great! Reviewed By: Sheryl (Ashville, Alabama) When I lived in Iowa I used this as a thick hedge to keep out unwanted dogs. It worked and was a wonderful hedge, pretty to look at and smelled so good. I am now planting it as a hedge here in Alabama on my 2 acres of fence line. Fast growth and good spread as a hedge. - Thursday, February 28, 2008Sweet Olive Reviewed By: Cathy (Oormond beach, Florida) A magnificent sun shrub. I have these lined up along my fence for privacy.
