Grow like crazy
Reviewed By: alexa (Paembroke, MA)
They will fill in a bar spot very quickly, but can take over. I have just stuck a branch in the ground and gotten a bush by the end of the season. Flower smell great, leaves silvery, and berries are pretty but they do have thorns and they spread like crazy

obnoxious
Reviewed By: Shelly (Tridell, Utah)
These trees can be beautiful when pruned and nothing compares to the aroma the emit when in bloom but the negatives far outweigh the positives. They have very long thorns that scratch and can cause nasty infections, spread out of control and cause problems to surrounding vegitation, are extremely difficult to get rid of, and farmers in my area are paid to rid their pastures of them.

Huge Thorns
Reviewed By: Jackie (White Swan, WA)
The Russian Olive tree's in this area have spread like wildfire escpecially along the creeks. They have huge thorns which makes it difficult on horseback to herd cattle through. Not a desirable tree for the farming area's.

Noxious Weed in Wyoming
Reviewed By: Alan (Sheridan, WY)
I believe there are laws that do not allow shipping Russian Olives to states where it considered a noxious weed. Wyoming is one of those states.
