Loves direct sun and Miracle Gro fertilizer. Give these plants the room and they will continue producing non-stop all summer long. From flower bud to harvest, you will see remarkable daily fruit growth, within two weeks time. We harvested solid fruits two-plus feet long that astounded even our grandmother. These zucchini tasted wonderful in various baked goods (breads etc) too. We planted a whole seed packet not knowing what to expect. We found that we had sooo many that we ended up giving a lot away and having to thin down our plants. We now know to scale back our plantings this year. Squash bugs loved these plants too. They multiplied very quickly, and we soon learned that we had to keep up with regular hand-picking. This plant's vigourous growth helped it overcome a problem of wilt that attacked it and our cucumbers. Unfortunately, the cukes were not so lucky. These plants kept producing right up until the first frosts. Refrigerated fruit lasted about two/three weeks. Much was frozen for future bakings. Yum yum. - Thursday, January 08, 2009Great! Wang (Friendswood, Texas) I gave this zucchini rave reviews because before a grub starts eating it from inside the stems. You can tell it is this grub when a yellowish-orange material occurs at the base of the plant. But, before this, awesome amounts of nice looking zucchini. - Sunday, September 20, 2009Wonderful Reviewed By: Connie (Ishpeming, MI) I've grown this zucchini for three years. I produces so many wonderful fruits that I've had a hard time keeping up with harvesting. I've had enough for my family plus was able to give away several bags to friends. |
