Didn't get very tall and did not produce many ears, but what we did get was absolutely delicious. - Sunday, February 08, 2009Poor Results Reviewed By: Clark (Camden Twp., Ohio) Have had good luck in the past with seed from Gurneys, these however performed poorly. Very low germination rate, short stalks (less than 5 ft) and poor fruiting. Would not purchase again. - Monday, June 04, 2007Corn Reviewed By: kari Weigel (Tomah, Wisconsin) I have planted this and no response, dug up kernnels, and they are still whole. My father in law planted this kind to and no response. - Thursday, August 02, 2007Small ears Reviewed By: Russell Tinder (Orfordville, WI) My previous experience was with Bodacious hybrid and was extremely happy with the results. Why didn't they have the ratings on their products in April?!?!? Honey & Cream is like a Yugo compared to a Mercedes! Double ears on most all of the plants and ear sizes dwarfed by the Bodacious hybrid. While both varieties were advertised with 8" ears, Honey & Cream ears were much smaller. Ears were also very, very low on the stalk which made it hard to pick but easy for the raccoons. On top of it all it took 3 weeks to get my shipment. Never Gurney's again. |
