They show how to use it but they don't even have it. I was told it is a catalog error. Rotten Deal. - Saturday, May 05, 2007don't abuse the metal Reviewed By: John Ramey (crossville, Tn.) I bought just the strawberry bed and the plants last year. About 10 of the plants died. The rest were scruffy looking and did not appear to be going to make it."behold" a Miracle !!! The plants came out of it great guns and filled in the bare spots. I didn't get any berries last year but this year it looks like I will have a bumper crop "Lord" willing. Thanks,, John Ramey - Wednesday, April 02, 2008Awsome Reviewed By: Jim O (Lumberton, TX) I bought this as a project that i could do with my 6 yr old daughter. It was fun & easy to set up (not perfect but it works). All but one of the plants have started growing nicely & we even have flowers on 25% of them in only 3 weeks in the ground. We are excited to see what the outcome will be. Plants were better than expected. We added some Whoppers as weel & they two are doing well with flowers already. - Friday, March 06, 2009great product Reviewed By: Lisa (mandeville, louisiana) The set up was pretty easy, although it did take more soil to fill than the instructions indicated. And to be honest, planting the innermost ring was a right pain in the back. I was also a bit put off by the strawberry plants. I was expecting plants, not just the crown and roots. The support system for the cover/netting was also rather difficult to put together. All that said however, the bed did come together well, and it looks cute. Could be dressed up too with some brick edging. And the plants I was worried about are all (yes, all 50) leafing out and look healthy. The sprinker system works great too. All in all, it's about a 4 1/2 star product. If the plastic cover was included, I'd rate it a full 5 star. It's a great project garden for kids too. - Monday, May 18, 2009Pretty Cool! Reviewed By: Lisa (Goffstown, NH) Initially when I opened the box I was unimpressed. When assembled it looked great. All of the strawberries save 3 are growing nicely. Looking foward to a bumper crop. I bought it without the cover and wish I had purchased the whole set. The price is a little high considering the materials, worth having though. |
