Out of the 50 plants I received only 4 lived. Actually the same thing happened with the 2 blueberry plants I ordered but neither one of those lived. - Thursday, March 22, 2007same thing Reviewed By: Laura (Foresthill, CA) Same thing happened to me - I bought a lot of plants and seeds last year, most plants died - seeds did fine. - Friday, March 23, 2007preparation key Reviewed By: Jim Bertolino (Riverton, Illinois) It was sad to read the one star review - 46 plants lost. When I got mine I soaked them for 12 hours using Hi Yield root formula. I was picking strawberries into November and they were still blooming when the snows came. - Saturday, March 31, 2007Strawberries Reviewed By: Raymond Carter (Millington, Tennessee) I placed my order two years ago. I thought there was a mistake because I recieved 50 plants instead of 25. I lost only one or two plants the first year and they were putting on real well. Last year we had plenty of berries and many more we put in the freezer. I was really looking forward to this year. While I was out of town on business my son wanted to help me by plowing up my garden. Unfortunately he thought the straw covering my strawberries was only mulch. I will be placing another order for more of your strawberry plants. - Monday, April 09, 2007Ozark surviver Reviewed By: Chuck N (Northwest, WI) I am amazed at this berry! Planted last year, enduring drought, some sort of black bug the size of a pin head, no snow cover, and an onslought of wild rabbits that dug through mulch and chewed the crowns past ground level and still are coming back? So far about half and temps aren't warm yet. Incredible. |
