On the windy eastern plains they are a must. My local garden center said they hadn't seen them in several years. I knew I could depend on Gurney's to have them and they did. I put soil around the lip to keep them in place and at the price I'm glad to know that some are reusing for an additional year. They just give the seedling that little extra protection that is so necessary. - Monday, March 26, 2007Hotkaps Reviewed By: Jody (New Limerick, Maine) Love these hotkaps. Lets us plant two to three weeks earlier than normal and the plants are beautiful and hardy when we pulled the kaps off. We have been able to save them for up to two seasons of use; sometimes three if the spring isn't too wet. Love them!!!! - Saturday, March 07, 2009Fly-Away Domes Reviewed By: Lee (Des Moines, Iowa) These were shorter than my seedlings and tended to fly away or start flapping pretty quickly. You might like them if you're starting seeds, but keep a close eye out! Your plants will be out of these within a week. (HotKap, make 'em taller!) |
