Wonderful!
Reviewed By: Kristin Daniel (Mt. Sterling, Ky)
This is a wonderful tree! As far a shading goes it is one of the best, the blooms are a beautiful color pink and if the wind is blowing you can get a whiff of the beautiful fragrance as far as 10 to 15 feet away. They are very, very fast growing trees.

Wild Mimosa
Reviewed By: Becky Lawson (Harrison, Ohio)
The Mimosa tree does well, and actually grows wild in the south near rivers & streams. It likes ground water. Customers who are having problems might consider the spot they chose to plant it in. A low soggy spot would be great. I had one for ten years before I moved, and I found that cleaning out and cutting back near the center base made it thrive. I did live near the Ohio river in Cleves, Ohio, but I wouldn't hesitate to plant one here, because I have some low soggy spots in my yard. I hope this helps, because the tree is beautiful even after it stops blooming. Becky Lawson

Wonderful Little Tree
Reviewed By: JD (Dedham, MA)
I ordered a mimosa tree from Gurney's last year, and planted it in my yard in the spring of 2008. I was skeptical at first, because it looked like a dead stick when it came. But I dutifully planted it and diligently watered it frequently. To my joy, tiny leaves eventually appeared. These developed into beautiful, fern-like foliage that was very long in length. Then in the summer the tree exploded with growth! I was amazed at how quickly it sprouted new leaves, and how much growth the tree put on in just the first growing season. We just had one of the toughest, coldest winters in a long, long time, and while the ends of some of the branches suffered some winter kill, the bulk of the tree came through great, and is leafing out now. I can't wait for the tree to bloom in a few years....A very exotic looking tree!

Good Customer Service

Bought 3 of these; two are doing great, one died. Gurney's stands behind their products well and I have another coming to replace the dead one in the spring. Well satisfied!

Although this is a beautiful plant, it is on the foreign invasive plant list for Pennsylvania
