I can honestly say that if you want a very fragrant shrub this is the one for you. I was told that my Grandpa or his father one use to cut a piece and place it in his shirt pocket for a substitute for cologne. I want to get atlease 6 of them and line them up around my home, the only problem with this shrub is that it will spread fast. how ever that can also be to your advantage by cutting the running roots and transplanting them else were. - Sunday, March 23, 2008Young Shrub Reviewed By: Steve (Copley, Ohio) My wife and I bought this shrub last spring (2007). I was skeptical of much foilage the first year. To my surprise, it sprouted leaves and new wood immediately. We got one flower the first year. I was excited because I figured none would come until the second year. I am very excited to see this years growth. Great fragrance from mature shrub. - Saturday, March 17, 2007Wonderful Shrub Reviewed By: Kathy (Frederick, M.D.) My parents own a Sweet Shrub, it has been in our backyard for over 40 years. The Sweet Shrub has such a wonder fragrance that it gives off in the summer months. Now that I own my own home, I will plant a Sweet Shrub in my back yard. The Fragrance from this plant brings back such good memories. |
