Did well in a very dry shady area. I have had it in my garden for a few years and keep adding it to different areas. It is beautiful in shady places as well as sunny and it doesn't matter what your soil is like. It adds color for quite a long period of time and in the fall the foliage changes to beautiful shades of red.
