Looks great! Reviewed By: Bob Welch (Chesapeake, VA) I planted this right in the front yard when I recieved it (Feb or Mar 2005). Our neighborhood is totally devoid of trees so I was hoping for some quick growth. I was a little worried that the bare root would hamper growth, but it didn't. It started greening up as soon as it warmed up. It has easily tripled in height, and doubled in trunk width after the first year. I'm hoping the next two years are the same so I can finally have some shade in the front yard! - Friday, March 02, 2007Wow! Reviewed By: Tim Roehr (Lenore, Idaho) Have purchased several Hybred Elms over the last 20 yrs. First has 20+ inch dia trunk and is 55 ft wide shade tree in clay soil! Getting another couple this year. - Monday, March 26, 2007Beautiful tree! Reviewed By: Jennifer (San Antonio, Texas) I planted 2 of these Elm trees in Feb. 2007, and they took off immediately! I live in south Texas, and I've planted many trees, but I am in amazement at how great this one is doing already! The foliage is beautiful, too! I look forward to watching it grow. Thanks Gurney's! - Tuesday, October 02, 2007The tree grew 8 ft. Reviewed By: Charles (Centerville, MN) I planted this tree in the May 2007. It grew 8 ft of new growth and the leaves are still green as of Oct 1st. It is growing straight up and is healthy. I put some 10-10-10 around it also. I bought some Amur Maples also all are growing well. I have many rabbits in my area so I put wire fence around the plants for a couple of years. This company is very helpful on the phone, with nice people. Take pictures with the Kids around the new trees and show them how much they grow. - Tuesday, November 27, 2007Amazing! Reviewed By: Joe (Wellington, Ohio) I ordered the Hybrid Elm in early spring and it just took off. I maintaned it all some long and the tree grew at least 8 feet in one year. Looking forward to this summer of 2008, I'll see how much growth I will get. Gurneys are very helpful and will purchase more trees from them. |
