We bought 2 trees in May of 2008 & they have grown over 8' and this summer of 2009 in one month they have grown over a 1' tall and they are 2 1/2 times taller than they were last year at this time. It is crazy how fast they grow. We planted it in March 2007 and took a picture to see how true the 10 feet a year was. It grew over 10 feet the first year! We took another picture and can't believe the growth. A friend who is a landscaper was even impressed and wanted to know where to get these trees. It took a little time but they are growing like weeds and in 100 temp. The leafs are dense and it grows incredibly fast. I watered them weekly and used tree spikes to keep them fertilized. One tree didn't make it and Gurneys replaced it with hesitation. Will buy from them again and already have. The other elm tree took off. It grew about six ft the first season. I'm looking forward to see how tall it gets this season. Also the replacement elm Gurneys sent me seems to be doing fine.
