TENDER SHRUBBY PERENNIAL THAT CAN BE TREATED LIKE AN ANNUAL. GROWN IN POTS AND TUBS AND MAKES AN EXCELLANT BORDER PLANT FOR MIXED FLOWER BEDS. SHOOTS SHOULD BE TRAINED TO WIRES ATTACHED TO THE WALL. IN YOUNG STAGES THE PLANTS SHOULD BE REPOTTED FREQUENTLY UNTIL LARGE ENOUGH FOR TUBS. ESTABLISHED PLANTS ARE WATERED A GOOD DEAL IN THE SUMMER WITH A WEAK LIQUID FERTILIZER. SHADE IS NOT REQUIRED EXCEPT ON NEWLY POTTED PLANTS. VERY LITTLE WATER IS REQUIRED DURING THE WINTER, SUFFICIENT ONLY ENOUGH TO PREVENT THE STEMS FROM SHRIVELING.

About four years a friend gave me a pencil size cutting from her plant, the first year I got only about 10 blooms at at time. I cut and started plants for my son and they are now blooming. This year Easter 2009 I had 53 blooms on my 12ft. tree, it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. It nas 19 blooms now. ej

Exceptional plant

This is my favorite plant. Grows like crazy ,nice foliage and when blooming is just incredible. I grew my first one from a little stick to a 7ft tall tree in one season. They have over 20 flowers at a time, very beautiful and smell good too.

Spectacular!

I planted this out on my patio this Spring and was not extremely attentive to it, but it continued to grow and look healthy. This fall I was rewarded with buds and my first spectacular trumpet about 10 inches in length. A real stunner of a plant, and really quite tolerant to boot. Many thanks to Gurney's!
