Ogallala Everbearing Strawberries

Ogallala Everbearing Strawberries

Withstands Cold and Drought

  (1 customer reviews)

Hardy native to the Rockies but adaptable to all strawberry growing areas. Even low temperatures and dry conditions don't stop it from setting big, early crops of sweet dark red fruit. Sends out quite a few runners for an everbearer. Self pollinating. Zones: 3-8.

Strawberries announce the arrival of summer, bearing juicy red fruits loaded with sweet flavor. They’re among the most versatile fruits you can grow, too-use them in pies, on shortcakes, in jams and jellies, or simply pluck them from the garden and enjoy! Any surplus is easy to freeze, too.

ogallala strawberry
Reviewed By: Beth (Dolores, CO)
These are the best flavored strawberries I have grown, they have a lot more flavor than berries like ozark beauty, the berries are smaller than some, but the flavor is similar to wild strawberries and the good flavor shines through the sugar in jam or preserves. Now that I have grown ogallala berries, other varieties, although pretty, dont taste right to me.
