Mr. Stripey Tomato Seeds
Mild-Flavored English Heirloom

  (10 customer reviews)

Slice up a few of these beautiful tomatoes for your next family picnic! Mr. Stripey Open-Pollinated Tomato has a mild, low-acid flavor and intriguing color both sure to win praise. Plum-sized, bicolor fruits have yellow flesh and a pink center. Indeterminate. 80 DAYS.

Tomatoes offer so many delicious possibilities-slice them, sauce them, can them, or turn them into salsa!

Selection Tip: when choosing varieties, keep in mind that “determinates” ripen over 3-4 weeks on bushy vines that usually need no staking. “Indeterminate” vines continue to grow and produce fruit all season until frost. The large vines need support.

love it - but...

The first year I planted these were great - very tasty and abundant. The last 2 years I have had no luck with the seeds - I wish Gurney's offered these as a plant to start with, I am very discouraged with the seeds - but the tomato's are best I have every eaten !

Mr Stripey has little fruit
Reviewed By: Diane (Lake Zurich, IL)
This was the largest tomato plant, that any one has seen - 5 feet tall and 6 x 6 foot spread. But a total of 4 tomatoes, 4 sad tomatoes. Never again. It would sparsely flower and only a few turned to fruit. I was told to fertilize every time I watered, that did not help either. A waste of precious space in the garden.
