Some herby, some spiky. Bugs seemed to like one spiky kind in particular, but I didn't care. It's all great. Will buy again next year, assuming it isn't still growing. - Wednesday, October 31, 2007Best Ever! Keep up the nice Job. - Friday, July 31, 2009Mesclun Medley Reviewed By: Cobb (Greer, South Carolina) This mix of lettuce is varies in shape, size, color and texture. In a salad the lettuces are very reminiscent of a warm spring evening. I particularly enjoyed growing this during the past grow season and cared for the mesclun variety with great patients. For anyone whole plans to grow I suggest a neutral soil. Definitely, one without any chemicals or fertilizers. I prefer to use a sterile soil and administer my own batches of nutrients. Organic lettuce may be smaller by comparison in yield and bulk to one chemically grown but the taste and product of an organic garden is one that is incomparable. I enjoyed picking the fresh lettuces from my garden, washing them, and preparing them for a salad. I quickly whipped up two vinaigrettes: a balsamic and a red bell pepper based vinaigrette. These lettuces made a beautiful impression for the folks who continuously enjoy my summer salads at my family owned southern diner. After my first shipment I learned I had to buy a high volume each grow season due to the consistent demand for my green salads and home made dressings. I suggest/recommend this for all gardens both novice and expert. If you need any help with a successful grow let me know- send an e-mail and I'll be happy to help. I'm also very good at growing other herbs and producing the biggest "buds". If you need any help there too! ;) Read More Reviews |
