A Taste Treat
(3 customer reviews)Enormous yellow flowers measure 14 in. across and yield a whopper crop of seeds! High oil content makes for great roasted flavor. Grows 9-12 ft. tall. 100 DAYS. It’s no wonder sunflowers are so easy to grow- these magnificent flowers are American natives. Use smaller types for cutting and edging, taller ones for screens. At the end of the season, watch for goldfinches, who love the seed! Product Details

Reviewed By: SHERRY (ANDOVER, CONN.) I live in the country and deer love to eat my garden and Hosta's. I read in a book that deer hate the smell of sunflowers so I grew them last year, and I didn't have a single deer or pests! My plants grew wonderful for once. - Thursday, April 17, 20085 STARS!!! Reviewed By: Lindsey (Mark, Illinois) We order these seeds every year. Our sunflowers grew 15ft tall and the heads of the sunflowers were huge! So heavy! Unbelievable flower, so pretty and strong! - Saturday, June 07, 2008Plant them every year Reviewed By: Sue (Independence, MN) I plant this variety every year. I love the look of the mammoth plant and flower, and the birds really enjoy their seeds. I have had problems with deer chomping off the flower heads when they're 3-4 feet, so I protect them with netting until they get taller. Read More Reviews |
