not doing well
Reviewed By: Tina (Emmaus, PA)
I have had these bushes for several years now, they aren't doing well at all. The so called cherries that are suppose to be growing look like pits with very little cherry around them. I will be requesting a refund.

I was not at first impressed with the Hansen's Cherries. They were a little bitter at first. I let them ripen a bit more, and they were alright raw. Then, I pitted them, just with my thumb, very easy. I stuck them in the microwave enough to cook them, with a little sugar. Wow, they tasted like really sweet cherries after this. They are great with ice cream. From what I have seen, cooking with a little sugar makes a huge difference. I had cherries the second year after planting, and quite a few. Don't disregard this cherry because the unripe raw fruits are a bit bitter. The plant is hardy and from what I have seen even bugs stay away.

Hansen's Bush Pie Cherry Tree
Reviewed By: Betty  (Bismarck, North Dakota)
I noticed the review by somebody that disliked these. Of course they aren't real good to eat raw. But I made such wonderful Jelly last season with these. I am sure they make great pies also. Everybody wanted my Jelly, and some want to know where to order these. I see they are not available for order now, I hope that is available soon. We think they are wonderful and they are doing great. We planted two yrs ago and had a great crop off 2 bushes last summer. They are doing great! So I would recommend this to anybody. Thanks much!
