We have gotten some 4 inches cross and they are just as sweet as the smaller ones. I have been able to share the runner plants with friends and family and they all have loved them. They are so easy to grow. The only bad thing I can think of is we have to wait all winter to eat freash ones. - Monday, February 13, 2012Didn't do well in NW Reviewed By: Amy (Duvall, WA) I planted these at my home at the west base of the Cascades and they've done very little. They seem to rott very easily; not good in the damp NW. Their taste is so-so. I've had much better luck with other strawberry varieties. - Friday, October 21, 2011Gallons of Berries Reviewed By: Tammie (Hayden, Idaho) I planted these strawberries last summer in a raised bed of 1/2 sand and 1/2 well composted manure. The plants took off right away and produced beautiful healthy huge plants. I picked off most of the flowers, and cut off the runners (which I used to plant the other half of the bed). This year, despite a cold wet spring, I harvested 12 gallon buckets of berries off a 12 x 12 foot bed over a three week period. They were juicy and sweet and there were plenty for fresh eating, freezing and sharing with friends and family. I am looking forward to next year!! Read More Reviews |
