#1 Customer Favorite!
(133 customer reviews)One taste and friends and family will be asking—“Where’d you get it, I’ve Gotta Have It!” We’re proud to introduce a new generation of sweet corn—think of it as the richest, most flavorful corn you’ve ever tasted plus a whole lot of sugar. Its tender, oh-so-sweet kernels give it an amazingly long shelf life—3+ weeks in its husk in the refrigerator! The superb flavor holds up for a wide range of maturity; it’s very slow to become starchy so you have a longer window of harvest. Unbeatable for freezing—tastes like freshly picked sweet corn in the dead of winter. Shorter-than-average plants are as strong as field corn, and hold their own against the elements and disease to yield large, attractive bicolor ears that are filled to the tips with succulent, sweeter-than-sugar kernels. Isolate (250- 300 ft. or 3 weeks maturity time) from all se and su varieties. Can be planted with other sh2 varieties. For best germination be sure that soil is warm before planting. 78 DAYS. Worth, TX) Planted early, it produced 1 great eating ear per stalk...better than any other variety in the past...we have clay, bermuda, drought, and worms..sweet corn usually isn't worth growing here...but this one made it. - Monday, February 22, 2010Awesome Reviewed By: Holly (Canal Winchester, Ohio) We tried this corn for the first time last year and loved it. Every time I pull a bag of corn from the freezer my 5 year old twins say, "If that's not the corn from the garden we are not eating it." We have decided to double our rows of corn this year so that we have enough to last all winter this time. - Wednesday, February 17, 2010Good Taste - low performer Reviewed By: C Hartman (Middletown, OH) I have planted this variety for 3 yrs now. I am gong back to sh2 varities this year. The flavor was always great fresh. Stores well in refrigerator. Flavor not near as good frozen as sh2. The most note worthy part is the poor germination track record. It does require warm soil, but overall germination was never better than 50%. Replanted multiple times but never had a good stand. Stalk quality was poor...always blew over in the wind. Stalks that survived always produced an ear! Purchased another seed variety locally last yr, planted late, poor dry conditions and had 80%+ germination and didn't blow over. Gotta Have It takes way to much work!!! Read More Reviews |
