Ended up with a lot of oddly shaped potatoes that taste wonderful! Our extended family could not get enough - never knew there could be so many raves over plain boiled potatoes (they weren't patient enough to wait for me to do anything more with them, folks liked them that much). They also slice up and dehydrate well, too, making tasty au gratin potatoes long after the season is over. These potatoes produced well even though it was my first year growing potatoes (and I definitely did not do everything right). We planted them in soil that had a lot of aged shredded leaves tilled in. - Friday, August 19, 2011Yum Reviewed By: Jerry (Sebastopol, California) I planted Goldrush two years in a row. I got a great harvest and good sizes. We like the good potato flavor boiled and baked. We'll keep growing this variety, its good for us. Our Irish neighbors think its great also. - Tuesday, February 15, 2011great potato Reviewed By: Kristi C (Strathcona, MN) Planted this variety last year and could hardly belive how well they did. Large potatoes, nice flavor, no hollow heart, which I have had problems with in the past. Good yeild, or better than expected. Will plant again. Read More Reviews |
