One of the Few Self-Pollinating Varieties
(1 customer reviews)Yellow peel and sweetly tangy flavor make a tempting snack. The Golden Delicious Apple Tree is one of the best pollinators for other varieties--so much so that its actually called a "rooster" tree! Ripens mid-September to October. Now you can grow delicious, full-size apples no matter how small your garden! Imagine picking 1/2 bushel or more apples from each of your Li’l-BIG trees just a few years after planting them in the ground! If you have limited space or simply want a little tree with big benefits, Li'l-BIG is for you. Reaching 6 ft. tall at the most and producing half a bushel of fruit, Li'l-BIG are a snap to spray, prune and harvest compared to standard size trees. Zones: 4-7. Product Details

Problem is 95% of grocery stores carry genetically modified version, bred to not bruise and have brighter coloring. This apple was once a legend until Paul Stark, back in 1914 traveled so deep into West Virginia he had to switch from train to horseback, but he found the apple a lot of folks had heard about but never thought really existed. He cloned the tree after paying what would be around half a million dollars today, to the property owner. The original Golden Delicious Apple favorite eating and baking apples had a unique spicy goodness off the tree 4.5 rating, today’s store fresh 3, sale price 2. Read More Reviews |
