(Wilmington, NC) Out of two dozen fruit trees in my yard this Fuji apple from Gurneys has become my favorite. Fast, symmetric growth and wonderful fruit make this one should you definitely consider for your yard. Fujis are susceptible to fire blight, so watch closely for signs of this disease during long periods of high humidity. - Monday, February 25, 2008Good choice Reviewed By: timm1 (Ashland Co., Ohio) A very good choice apple.Bakes well and cooks well great for salads and to eat raw. condsidered one of the best vers apples around this area.It differs from most apples in flavor and texture.I have about 350 drawf fuji and like others say one year may be diffrent from other years.I call this apple a "cranky" apple you either love it and take good care of it or else meaning it just wont produce very good fruit.I also find that people that use older type apples dont seem to want to buy these i try hard to push a test. However old time folks like the melrose over these any day. - Sunday, January 07, 2007Top five apple Reviewed By: Gonzo (CDA, ID) Great apple can be the best if its a good year. Theres time when it total outstanding and other times when its watery. Its stores well but the flavor seems to fade. When its picked off the tree and aged for a month it cold storage its a treat.
