Comments: Four hours or more of direct sunlight from a south window. Let plant approach dryness before watering. Average indoor humidity levels. Day temperature 65-70 degrees F; night temperature 50-55 degrees F. Use an acid-balanced fertilizer throughout the year and add trace elements in spring. Leaves will drop if soil is too wet or too dry. High Ph or high soluble salts can cause leaf yellowing. Will not bloom if light is too low. May need to hand pollinate for better fruit production. WATERING: WHEN IN ACTIVE GROWTH, LET TOP INCH DRY OUT BETWEEN WATERINGS. DURING WINTER REST PERIOD, WATER JUST ENOUGH TO PREVENT COMPLETE DRY OUT. FOR INCREASED HUMIDITY, MIST AND GROW ABOVE MOIST PEBBLES IN THE TRAYS. LIGHT: GROW LIGHTS OR FLORESCENTS MAY ALSO BE HELPFUL. WHEN MOVING OUTSIDE IN LATE SPRING, MOVE GRADUALLY AND WATCH FOR SCORCHING. FERTILIZING: WHEN PLANTS ARE ACTIVELY GROWING, GIVE THEM A HIGH POTASH (TOMATO TYPE) FERTILIZER TWICE A MONTH. DON'T FEED IN COOL, LOW LIGHT WINTER RESTING PERIOD. TOP DRESS IN THE SPRING WITH SOME NEW TOP SOIL OR REPOT IN A LARGER POT WHILE ANY POT WILL DO - PREFER A CLAY POT.

Bullet Proof

This is one tuff plant. It was small when it arrived, but grew quickly despite our cool summer this year. Then I forgot to water it, and all its leaves dryed up and fell off. I was ready to pitch it, but didn't. Within a few weeks it grew new leaves, and now it even has flower buds on it. Wow! I would highly recommend this lemon from this company.

Finally got a good one

It took about two months from ordering before I got the plant. The plant I got was tiny and not impressive at all! I sent an e-mail to Gurneys and they sent out a replacement pretty quickly. The replacement looked 100% better than the first plant, and was even flowering. I have gotten some great plants from these guys in the past, and since they redeemed themselves with this one, I will continue to do business with them in the future.

Lemon Tree
Reviewed By: Chris (Layton, ut)
I bought all of gurneys dwarf fruit trees and they are all doing amazing. They looked like death after receiving them in the mail, don't be discouraged just get them in a pot with good soil and lots of light and they will grow. My only real tip is don't underestimate the size of the roots! Pick a pot 2 to 3 times the size of the roots for best growth potential.
