Comments: Planting: Sow seed when the weather is warm and all danger of frost is past. Pumpkins prefer rich, well-fertilized soil. Plant the seeds 1 inch deep, 4-5 to a hill, spacing hills 8 feet apart. Germination should take place in 6-10 days. Care: Water well during dry weather and mulch to reduce weeds. After seedlings grow 2 inches tall, thin to 2 plants per hill. For maximum size, remove all but 1 or 2 fruits from each vine and fertilize regularly. : Harvest fruits when the skin has turned completely orange. Cut from the vine, leaving a 2-inch stem attached to the fruit. Store in a warm, dry spot. This variety produces 200 to 300 pound squash-type pumpkins and is on record for having produced ones weighing over 1,000 pounds.

not bad seeds

on this variety of pumpkin i had three fruits had an 80# 150# and 227# i was impressed but not what i was shooting for! great pumpkins but i want bigger so im going to the judras 1267! i would recommend this variety to someone who wants to grow a biggin and still be able to handle it! good luck and remember these pumpkins are thirsty! 100 gals a day

The Atlantic "Dill" Giant is an outstanding performer! To grow a record pumpkin, one should look to others for information such as those at bigpumpkins.com! There is lots of good advice and the opportunity to grow a 500 to 1600 pound pumpkin! The seed is very important and Atlantic dill giant pumpkin is the best but the soil and the growing procedures are very important as well! Not eager for competition but if your going for it then GO FOR IT!
