I shared them with family members and they agree. They are delicious I am trying to locate more of the seeds. - Monday, October 27, 2008Desert King Watermelon Reviewed By: Gary (Greentown, Indiana) This is the third year I have grown these. They have always ripened here in central Indiana. I have had trouble with other varieties having time to ripen. I have not ever tasted a better melon. Easy to tell when ripe, the bottom of the melon turns a yellowish cream color. The longer they ripen the sweeter they get. I was harvesting great melons for 5 weeks. I recommend these to everyone who grows watermelons. They average about 15-20 lbs - Monday, September 07, 2009Round Yellow and Sweet Reviewed By: Sharon Kirk (St. Louis, Mo) Some one gave me the plant as a water mellon plant.I planted it thinking it will be red. Not. It was bright yellow on the inside very few seeds and very small. It was one of the sweetest mellons i have ever eaten. i will diffinately do these next year. the best. easy to grow also.
