The fresh flavor of herbs and seasonings make a delicious addition to garden-grown vegetables. There’s a health benefit too: with fresh herbs, your food will taste so good that you won’t need to add as much salt and butter! Many make flavorful teas as well. So much better than the dried and flash-frozen herbs in the supermarket! Harvest Tip: Pick just before herbs bloom, preferably on a sunny morning before the dew dries. Leaves will be at peak vigor, loaded with essential oils that give each herb its distinctive flavor.
