Compact butterhead-type is productive, heat tolerant and slow to bolt. Buttercrunch Head lettuce has mildly flavored leaves. 65 DAYS.

Grows several types of lettuce fro a mix of colors and textures. Leaf lettuce has loose rosettes, produces over a longer season and is more heat tolerant. Head lettuce forms round heads and tends to be more crispy in texture.

Seed Counts: 1/2 oz. of lettuce seeds contains about 12,000 seeds and sows a 200-ft. row.

I have planted Buttercrunch for many years now. It performs great every year. The flavor is better than anything else out there. Very sweet and slow to bolt. My only wish is for Gurney's to offer this in pelletized.

Tasty lettuce

My wife and I planted these. It took a bit to get them going. Once they took off, they were really great to eat. We shared some with family and friends, and everyone really loved the lettuce. The lettuce has a sweet taste. Even when they start to bolt. The hot summer didn't effect there flavor. These are well worth growing.

Nice lettuce, but not as good as the mix type. Not super aggressive so it gets kicked around by other types. It grows and tastes great, but I don't know if anyone of them is left anymore.
