It always produces a wonderful, plentiful crop. It is not a bitter lettuce. Makes great salads. - Monday, August 10, 2009easy crop Reviewed By: Allison (Havertown, PA) A first time gardener, I grew many, many of these lettuce plants from seed with a lot of success. They took off once I planted in a raised bed garden. Some of them grew 3 feet high and just kept producing tender leaves. We had salads for a month. I will be planting this next year. - Monday, August 10, 2009easy crop Reviewed By: Allison (Havertown, PA) A first time gardener, I grew many, many of these lettuce plants from seed with a lot of success.
