live plant

Beautiful tropical plant - grows indoors with plenty of light but grows best in hot climates. Large plants can grow to twenty feet plus tall. Not to be confused with the red bird of paradise which produces small magnolia/carnation type blooms.

A little unhappy
Reviewed By: Diane Audas (Gladewater, Texas)
Just got my order today. I am pleased with everything so far. However, the online instructions say temp.65-70 degrees during day, 50-55 degrees during night. Evidently I did not read this before I ordered. I live in North East Texas. It is already in the 80's. This is my fault, I should have read everything, however, Gurney's should have sent me an email telling me these plants will probably not do well in my area.

Not to worry

Not to worry...here in Hawaii, the birds of paradise bloom all year round. Temperatures routinely hit mid-eighties and nights are in the seventies. Your plants will probably do just fine.
