Ideal for impatient gardeners! One of our earliest melons. Alaska Hybrid Cantaloupe are oval 4-pound fruits which turn creamy yellow and sugar sweet at maturity. Productive--wilt-resistant vines yield 4-5 netted fruits each. 65 DAYS.

Give melon fertile soils and warm temps (use black plastic mulch to cool regions), and you’ll harvest plenty of large, luscious fruits.

Taste disappointing

This produced cantaloupe larger and a few days earlier than the Sweet'n Early variety, but the taste doesn't compare. I used most of them for smoothies. To eat a fresh cantaloupe, I'll stay with the Sweet'n Early.

Another great year with the same melon you won't believe your eyes sweet juicey and a multitude of melons. If you want the best and earliest plant Alaska Hybrid.
