Spacing: 12-24"
Depth: Dig a shallow hole 2-4" deep and twice as wide as the rhizome. Place the rhizome on a small mound in the middle of this hole and spread the roots. Fill the hole with soil, but only partially cover the rhizome. Water thoroughly.
Spread: 12-24" Closer planting gives immediate effect, but iris will need thinning often.
Sun/Shade: Full Sun to Partial Shade
Color: Pale yellow ground washed all over with deep burgundy. (The color on this variety can range from deep burgundy to almost a bluish black ) Beards white tipped orange; ruffled; slight spicy fragrance
Foliage: Glaucous-green, sword-like fans of stiff upright leaves.
Blooms: Late spring to early summer for about 2-3 weeks
